Margaret "Maggie" was born in Illinois but lived in Nebraska growing up as her father moved the family around. Her mother died when she was 12 and she helped care for the younger children. Her father would marry 2 more times. She was living again in Illinois when she met and married Thomas "Samuel" Kemp" and bore 5 children, 4 lived to adulthood. The family moved to a farm in Marion County, Ohio in 1920 and her husband died there in 1930. She lived as a farmer's wife throughout most of her life. She remarried to a younger man while living in Morrow county, Ohio and finished raising her children there. She divorced her 2nd husband and moved to Galion, Ohio and lived with her 2 daughters and near her 2 sons as she worked as a domestic, seamstress, factory work, etc. to make ends meet. She lived in Galion, Ohio at the time of her death. She is listed as dying in Mansfield because she died at the hospital there. Her youngest daughter, Pauline, is my mother. Her other children were Berlin, Otis, and Juanieta.
