Margaret Louise Meriwether May 24, 1921 – Nov. 3, 2011
Margaret Louise Meriwether, 90, Kokomo, passed away Thursday, Nov. 3, 2011, at her residence. She was born on May 24, 1921, the daughter of Roy Overton and Annie Monroe Overton, in Clarksville, Tenn.
She was employed as a cook for Kmart, retiring after 25-plus years of service. She had previously been employed at Kresge Co. for many years. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, where she served in the Senior Missionary and Choir. She also was an Avon representative. She loved to cook and bake for her family and friends.
Her parents; one son, Lawson Taylor; and four sisters preceded her in death.
Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Mt. Pisgah Missionary Baptist Church, 1599 E. Sycamore St. Pastor Lonnie Anderson will be the officiant and eulogist. Friends may call from 11 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Burial will be in Crown Point Cemetery.
