Margaret O'Brien was born circa 1535.2 She is the daughter of Murrough O'Brien, 1st Earl of Thomond and Eleanor fitz John.1

She married, secondly, unknown MacNamara.2

She married, thirdly, Ross O'Loughlen.2

She married, firstly, Richard Bourke, 2nd Earl of Clanricarde, son of Ulick Bourke, 1st Earl of Clanricarde and Grace O'Carroll, before 6 October 1548.1,3

She and Richard Bourke, 2nd Earl of Clanricarde were divorced after claiming that she worked witchcraft against him.1

Her married name became MacNamara.2 Her married name became O'Loughlen.2 After her marriage, Margaret O'Brien was styled as Countess of Clanricarde in 1548. From 1548, her married name became Bourke.1 She was living in 1616.2
