Obituary Reads:

Mrs Margaret Overton, age 93 years 5 months and 11 days died at the home of her son, Miles Overton at 9:30 Wednesday morning of chronic endocarditis. For some nine years she made her home with her son but did not commence to show failing health until about one year ago.

The funeral services were held in the ME church at 12:30 pm today and were conducted by Rev Weber Roahrig, Hillsboro, Ind.

The aged lady was born in Chamberburg, PA, August 8 1833; was married to Starling Overton in IND but soon after their marriage moved to IL where she has resided for the past sixty years. Her husband preceded her in death about nine years ago.

The deceased is survived by three children: Mrs Mary Thomas, Etna; Mrs Margaret Hicks, Martinsville, Ind and Miles Overton, Lerna. There are also fourteen grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

One the conclusion of the services at the church the remains were taken to the Dry Grove cemetery where they were tenderly laid away, and there will remain until the breaking light of the resurrection morn.
