DEATH & BURIAL A little surprised re Margaret's death. I would have expected her to be in Wycheproof with Joseph. On the other hand, Joseph had family living in Brunswick, and her parents are correctly named, and she was staying with her sister, Mary Ann Jones. Joseph and Margaret have their son Edward James living nearby in Coburg, so plenty of opportunity to catch up with family. The period is shortly after Christmas which she might have chosen to spend with her family, and Wycheproof is a lot hotter in summer than Brunswick. It is also a peak demand period for Joseph if his team is transporting wheat since the harvest begins before Christmas and grain is either stored or exported as soon as possible. Always possible they are now living separately.

Mrs Margaret Richardson (56) collapsed and died while talking with a friend in the passage of her home, Victoria-street, Brunswick. Death .... was due to heat apoplexy.

Williamstown Chronicle 16 Feb 1929 Mrs. Margaret Richardson died on February 8, at the age of 56 years. Deceased was born at Pentland Hills, near Bacchus Marsh. The funeral, which left the residence of her sister, Mrs. Jones, 26 Railway-place took place. on Monday afternoon, and was largely attended. The Rev. Father O'Connor read the burial service, and Nelson Bros. were the undertakers.
