Margaret Hubbell Sanders

Margaret was born 4 Sep. 1804 in Franklin County, Kentucky to parents John and Susan (nee Gano) Price. On 1 Feb 1821 she married lawyer Lewis H. Sanders. Together the couple had twelve children. Their oldest daughter, Eliza Jane, married James Ben Ali Haggin in Natchez, Mississippi, where the Sanders had moved. The young Haggin family moved to California and the Sanders family followed. The couple's second daughter married Lloyd Tevis, who was Haggin's business partner. When Lewis Sanders died in California, he was buried in his native state of Kentucky. Margaret returned to Kentucky to live and upon her death is buried with her husband.
