17 July 1533: Instrument of Resignation by Ninian Cunyghame of Valterston in hands of William, Master of Glencarne, superior, of his lands of Valterston, for infeftment to be given to William Cunyghame his son natural and lawful, Robert Cunyghame eldest son of said Ninian, being a consenting party. Sasine is given accordingly, reserving liferent of said Ninian in the Mains and Boghous and acre of medow called the 'Yell of Man' being parts of lands of Walterston, and also the terce of Margaret Stewart his wife Witnesses to the Instrument were, William Cunyghame of Craganis, Robert Cunyghame of Akat, James Cunyghame burgess of Dundee, Patrick Cunyghame, and others.
