Margaret was the daughter of Isabel Wilkinson, and she had a sister Jane, who married Edward Winship.[1]

Margaret married twice. First to widower Edward Goffe in 1639 at Cambridge. Edward and Margaret had three children: Deborah, Hannah and Abiah. Edward died in 1658. [2]

In December 1662, Margaret married John Witchfield at Cambridge.[3] Bailey gives the name of Margaret's second husband as "John Pitchfeild,"[4] but his name was John Witchfield.[5] John was a widower who had come to Massachusetts in 1632 aboard the Lyon. He was called Mr. Witchfield, showing high social standing. By 1637, he had moved to Windsor, Connecticut. Margaret moved to Windsor with him after their marriage, and that is where she died on July 27, 1669. Their there no children of this second marriage. John died at Windsor on March 26, 1678/79
