It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Aunt Rite (Marguerite) Hyde of Dundas on Saturday, October 8th in her 88th year. She was so dearly loved by her nieces and nephews, Beryl Verrall, Pat Johnston (Ed), Alan Daniels (Amy), and John Daniels (Denise), Lorrie, Joe and Nick and all her great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother & father Jack & Etta Hyde, her sisters Mona, & Etta, her best friend Phyllis Woods & her nephew Joe Verrall & Fred Daniels (Susan). Marguerite was a long time member of Philpott Memorial Church in Hamiton, serving as a Nursery school teacher and was a leader for many years of the ladies prayer group. She devoted her life to children & owned & operated the Teddy Bear Day Nursery in downtown Hamilton until it closed & then worked for the McMaster Children's Daycare until she retired. She devoted her life to her family, her friends, her church and her gardens. Visitation will be held on Friday, October 14th at the Marlatt Funeral Home, 195 King Street W., Dundas from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm, and one hour prior to the service on Saturday, October 15th at 10am. Interment to follow at Grove Cemetery, Dundas. Donations can be made to the charity or mission of your choice.
