About Maria Christina Dieter
According to this accounting, "Finally, the Dieter's arrived in the port of Philadelphia. After much delay and with the severe winter before their door, the new arrivals are led to the City Hall and there they must render the oath of allegiance to the king of Great Britain. At a council held at the courthouse of Philadelphia, a list was presented to the Board of 300 persons, signed by ships master, John Hodgeson, including:
"... 30th September 1727, from Rotterdam via Deal England: Hans Jorg Dieter 28, Maria Margaretha (Luttmann) 26, Johann Michael, 5, Maria Christina, 1, all of Schwaigern Wurttemberg ..."
From the minutes of the Provincal Council, printed in Colonial Records, Vol. III, p. 287.
This account, taken from the ships list indicates that Maria Christina Dieter (Teter) was alive upon their arrival in Philadelphia.
