"Maria PAA - geb 1844 - gest 1901 - gattin von R. PAA".

Maria Servi Paa was the daughter of Katherine Lang Servi and Andreas Wenzel Servi from the County of Bischofteinitz, Bohemia, Austria. She married Robert Baptist Paa in Bohemia. She arrived in the US at age 49 12 May 1893. On ship Hh Meier. Also 15 year old Anna and 16 year old Johann and 49 year old Baptist are on the ship manifest with destination listed as Antigo, WI. It is assumed this is her emidiate family. Maria Paa is buried in Antigo Queen of Peace cemetery with her husband Robert Baptist Paa. Volume XXIV. Ritter and Deutsch was the undertaker(Funeral home) Maria Paa Servi died at the asylum of heart disease.There was no mention of family.

There is a German document on line in Ancestry that points to Maria had a daughter Barbara born in Austria. Barbara Servi was born out of wedlock on 06 Nov 1865 to Maria Servi (daughter of Andreas Servi and Katharina Lang) of house #19 Unterhütte, Bischofteinitz, Bohemia. Barbara was "legitimized" by her mother's marriage to Johann Baptist Paa on 8 Feb 1869 in Unterhütte, Bischofteinitz, Bohemia, and her name became Barbara Paa. This is not known yet to be correct. Still researching as of Jan 2019. Barbara Paa does not show up on any of the Census reports in the US, and she is not on the passenger list. Perhaps she is older. Or there was confusion on translating the document from German to English. See links below.
