About Marianna "Mary" Weiss
Winona Daily Herald 1 April 1896: "Mrs. Jacob White sustained an epileptic seizure in front of the first National Bank this morning. She was carried into a store near by and a physician summoned. However, she was soon able to be taken home and nothing serious is anticipated."
Winona Daily Herald 23 Feb 1898: "Jacob White, a drunk, plead guilty and was fined $30 or thirty days in the4 county jail. Owing to the fact that his wife and child are sick sentence was suspended during good behavior.."
Winona Daily Herald 9 August 1898: "Mrs. Joseph White, who for a long time has been sick at the hospital, died this morning. The cause of her demise was brain trouble. Mrs. White has been suffering severely for the last ten days and her end comes as a relief from her pain. A widower and three children, two sons and a daughter, survive her. The funeral has not yet been arranged but it will probably be held within the next two days, from the family residence.
