Marianne G. Sussman Marianne G. Sussman, 79, died August 26, 2009, in Craftsbury where she spent summers for more than 20 years. Mrs. Sussman was born September 10, 1929, in Berlin, Germany, and with her parents, escaped Nazi tyranny to come to the United States as a child. She attended the Dalton School in New York City and graduated from the University of Chicago. She worked in book publishing in New York and for 20 years was on the editorial staff of Time magazine. She is survived by Leonard, her husband of 51 years; by her son Mark Jacob and his wife, Mary-Jo; by her stepson David William; and by her grandchildren: Jane, Benjamin, Rebecca, Samuel, and Finn.
