______
Mary, the daughter taken away by the Indians, married after the return to Nova Scotia, John James Juhan, a native of Switzerland, with whom Rev. John Payzant finished his education. A daughter of Mary, in a letter dated Charleston, S.C., in 1804, wrote, that after her mother was married they went to Boston, from there to Charleston, and thence to the French islands, where she died. This letter, written to her Uncle John, and sent by Captain Freeman, of Liverpool, she signed "M. Goddard."
