Marilyn L. Hobbs-Gibson passed away in the afternoon of December 1, 2012. She was surrounded by her loving family and friends. Born in Beemer, Nebraska in 1939, she was raised in Iowa, and graduated from Cornell College with a degree in music education. She moved to the Puget Sound area in 1960. She taught elementary school in the Seattle and Renton School Districts for 34 years.

Marilyn loved to travel and had many interests, including music, square dancing and bird watching. She is survived by sisters Mardelle, Carole and Lois, daughter Heather and son Sean. A memorial service will be held at Riverview Community Church in Kent on Saturday, December 15 at 2 pm.
