Pultneyville ,NY a port of Entry in Genesse District contains a church, grist mills, steam sawmill and about 450 people. Info from Gasatteer of State of NY published in 1860. Also from same book Williamson had 2 churches, steam flouring mill Pop. 300 Sodus was formed in Jan 1789. Williamson taken off in 1802 , Willard Lib. Battle Creek MI

Records at Pultneyville NY show Jacobus VerDuyn(dine) and Cathalina (Mersen) VerDuyn(Dine) had child baptized on 17 Jul, 1864. Cathalina could have been related to Marinus.

  Marenus married 14 Nov. 1863 to Elizabeth Patist.  They went to Canada to excape Civil War.  There William was born.  They apparently returned from Canada in 1865 and moved west to Sodus.
