Marion Yeager, 82, grandfather of Capt. Charles Yeager, died yesterday at his home in Hubball, Lincoln County. The noted jet pilot's mother, Mrs. Hal Yeager of Hamlin, said last night that Capt. Yeager would be unable to attend the service at Mildred Baptist Church at 1 p.m. tomorrow because he is scheduled to fly from Dayton, Ohio to Muroe Field, California, today. Johnson-Koontz mortuary at Hamlin said Rev. Ebb Cummings will officiate and burial will be in Franklin Cemetery at Branchland. Survivors of the retired farmer, who had lived in Lincoln County more than 60 years, include three daughters, Mrs. J. M. Lewis of Hubball, Mrs. Ella Deering of Huntington and Mrs. Pearl Dent of Chapmanville; four sons, Willie of Hubball, Elmer of Branchland, Hal and Walter of Hamlin; five half-brother, Frank and Cyrus of Branchland, Newman of Myra, Cleve of Hubball, and Fred of Midkiff; two half-sisters, Mrs. Calloway Linville of Vernie and Mrs. Isabelle Adkins of Branchland; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
