She sufered from Down's syndrome and lived in Gourock, a seaside suburb of Glasgow with her nurse, Agnes Jardine who had been present at her birth.

She attended school, and died age 15 of cardiac failure at 3.05pm on March 8th, 1927. Her maternal Law grandfather registered the death the following day.
