About Mark Ryan
From the O'Donnell family history document, preserved by Rose Payne:
Mark Ryan was born in Ireland but came to America. He settled in Little Wolf Township, Waupaca County, Wisconsin. Mark's mother Anne and brother Patrick lived nearby. When Anne died, she was buried in Lebanon.
Mark married Winnefred Thornton in Mayville, Wisconsin. They settled in Little Wolf. When Mark Ryan was cutting trees, a tree fell and killed him, seven weeks before his daughter Mary Ann was born. Mary Ann was their only child.
Mark was first buried in Northport and then was later moved to St. Patrick's Cemetery in Lebanon. He was the third person to be buried in that cemetery.
