Like a traditionally religious family Bernard and Elizabeth were endowed with numerous offspring: after the first-born Naftalim(died in 1887 at age 13) followed by Sidonie - Sidi, Emma (married Böck), Samuel - Fritz,Markus - Max, Anna, Laura, Adolf, Frida, Rosa,Berta, Hans - John Cyril, Katharina and Karl(he died at age 9 months).
Of these children only Emma and Adolf remained in Hustopeče. Some escaped before the Holocaust: Sidonia, Fritz, Frida, Katharina and Hans.
Some were sent to concentration camps. Of these, Markus, Anna, Berta, Rosa and Adolf died. Only Emma, wife of the Hustopeče rabbi,survived along with Adolf's son Bernard.
