Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 28, 2015 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church in Albany for Marlene Douvier, age 83, of Saint Cloud, formerly of Albany. Fr. Cletus Connors, OSB will officiate and private burial will be at the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery near Little Falls at a later date. Marlene peacefully passed away on Thursday, December 17, 2015 at Quiet Oaks Hospice House in St. Augusta. There will be a visitation for family and friends at Seven Dolors Church in Albany on Sunday, December 27 from 4:00-8:00 PM and again on Monday after 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Arrangements are being made with Miller-Carlin Funeral Home of Albany.

Marlene was born on September 12, 1932 in St. Cloud to Lawrence and Alma (Fick) Ficker. She graduated from Cathedral High School in 1950. She worked as a switchboard operator for the St Cloud Hospital and later for Pioneer Engineering in the Twin Cities. She married Leonard Douvier on September 23, 1967 at Seven Dolors Catholic Church and moved to Albany. She was a daycare provider for many years and loved the kids she took care of as her own. She enjoyed reading, watching movies and spending time with her grandsons who were her pride and joy.

Survivors include her daughter Ann (Gene) Sura of Clear Lake; grandsons Adam and Eric; sister Thelma (John) Schmidhauser of Carpinteria, CA; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard (December 22, 2003), parents, sister Rosemary (Herb) Briol, and infant siblings Joan and Lawrence.
