Jacob Hewins married in Dorchester, Massachusetts Bay Colony, on 24 February 1681 Martha Trescott [1] who was born 8 February 1660[/1?], the daughter of William and Elizabeth (Dyer) Trescott. They removed from Dorchester to Boston, where he was a brewer. He died intestate in 1691. His estate, consisting only of furniture, was inventoried at £22, and presented 10 September 1691 by James Thornbury, administrator. His widow then married Henry Adams, and was in her second widowhood, 11 September 1711, when she presented to the court an account of her first husband's estate, amounting to £4, as all that remained.[2]
