Although Horace's gravestone was prepared for his wife, it looks as though she was not buried with him. She did remarry after his death and died in 2019.
Obituary for Martha Alice Kelley Barton
Martha Alice Kelley Barton of Pilot Knob, Missouri passed away July 16, 2019 at the age of 98 years. She was born June 23, 1921 in Chloride, Missouri the daughter of the late William and Lucy (Hefner) Reed.
Martha is survived by four children; James Kelley and his wife, Estlee of Doe Run, Missouri, Bill Kelley and his wife, Alma of Ironton, Missouri, Lucy Wadlow and her husband, Larry of Pilot Knob, Missouri, and Ed Kelley and his wife, Minnie of Potosi, Missouri. Also surviving are seventeen grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great great grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Martha was preceded in death by two husbands; Horace Kelley and Roy Barton, four children; Robert Kelley, Janet Douglas, Ray Kelley, and Dale Kelley, eight brothers; Omer, Elmer, Alvin, Leslie, Thomas, Paul, Russell, and Carl Reed, three sisters; Mary Jordan, Nellie Jaycox, and Mabel Ebert and three grandchildren.
Martha was an ordained minister and pastored for many years. Two of her churches were Big River Church and New Diggins Church. She enjoyed all church activities. She also enjoyed gardening and sewing. She enjoyed participating in the Red Hat Society.
