MRS. MARTHA MARCUM
DIES AT AGE OF 85
Had Been Tuscaloosa County Resident Since Childhood.
Death came to one of Tuscaloosa's oldest citizens Saturday afternoon when Mrs. Martha J. Marcum, 85, died at the home of her daughter on Watermelon Road a illness of 10 days.
Mrs. Marcum, a resident of this county since she was a young girl, had been making her home with the daughter, Mrs. D. Jacobs.
Survivors also include two other daughters, Mrs. S.B. Franklin, of Warrior; and Mrs. Rhoda Channell, of Northport, Route One. There are four sons, H.J. and W.B., J.S. and T.J. Marcum, all of Northport, Route Four.
Funeral Services will be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock from Alberta City Methodist Church, with Rev. Z.D. Simpson officiating. Burial will be in the Alberta City cemetery, Jones and Spigener in charge.
