Biography ==Martha was a daughter of Samuel and Philippa (Ward) Sherman, baptized at Dedham, Essex, on 24 January 1603/4. She is mentioned in the will of her father, written 20 January 1615/6, but no further record of her is known.<ref>Wood, Michael.
