About Mary Akehurst
Https://www.ncpedia.org/biography/akehurst-ackhust-acorst
Daniel Akehurst was survived by his wife, Ann, and a daughter, Philochrista (Filiachristy, Filia). There are indications that Ann was Akehurst's second wife, but the records are not clear. His first wife may have been a Mary Akehurst who, like Philochrista, was listed without identification among Akehurst's "transports" when he proved his headrights. No other reference to Mary Akehurst has been found in North Carolina records. Ann, whose name does not appear among the "transports," seems to have lived chiefly on the Virginia plantation, which appears to have been her own property before her marriage to Akehurst. Philochrista was in North Carolina with her father much of the time. By July 1699 she had married a North Carolinian, Joseph Jordan.

Hi. I came across the page about Daniel Akehurst when researching a family who were members of the Quaker Monthly Meeting for Upperside, Buckinghamshire, England.
Daniel Akehurst's first wife was Mary Noy who was born in 1661 at Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, England.
Mary Noy's father was Nicholas Noy from Bradenham, Buckinghamshire. Nicholas Noy married Philocrista or Filia-Christi Fish in 1648 and their only known child was Mary Noy born 1661.
Nicholas Noy subsequently became a Quaker and settled at High Wycombe as a bodice-maker.
Nicholas Noy was a prominent member of the Monthly Meeting for Upperside, Buckinghamshire and he is mentioned frequently in the Minute Book of the Monthly Meeting of Upperside, Buckinghamshire 1669-1690. Available from the Buckinghamshire Record Society.

Daniel Akehurst and Mary Noy announced their intention to marry at the Meeting on 7 Nov 1679 although the date and location of their marriage is not recorded.
Daniel Akehurst appears to have been a contentious figure and the Minute Book has several mentions of him.
William Penn, the founder and first Governor of Pennsylvania, was also a member of the Monthly Meeting for Upperside for a time and his marriage is also recorded in the Minute Book.
Nicholas Noy's wife Philocrista probably died before 1686 but no record of her death has been found.
Nicholas Noy married Grace Bovington (widow of John Bovington, yeoman) in 1686. John Bovington was from Great Marlow, Buckinghamshire and seems likely to have been a relation of Richard Buffington aka Bovington an early settler of Pennsylvania and signatory of the New Jersey Compact. Other members of the Upperside Monthly Meeting were early settlers of British Colonial America.
I hope you find this information useful.
