About Mary Bailey
On July 2, 1697 a receipt noted: "Thomas Swan and Mary Swan formerly Mary Lamb daughter of Thomas Lamb of Roxbury deceased" stated that he had received £24 from "Thomas Hawley of the same place who married Dorothy the widow and relict of Thomas Lamb."
Note: Basis for the second marriage of Mary --- When trying to lay claim to the property of Thomas Lamb in a "caveat"filed in 1698, Mary was listed as "Mary Bayley." It would appear that her first husband, Thomas Swan had died sometime before and she had remarried to a man named "Bayley." It would appear that Thomas Swan died after July 2, 1697 and prior to the cavenat filed July 14, 1698.
