Mary Sue Clemen, 81, of 7th Heaven, 1321 Tomahawk Dr, formerly of 1445 Curtis St, d Fri, Sep 12 2008 at home. Svcs will be at 10:30am Tues, Sep 16 at St Columbkille Catholic Church, Rev Gabriel C Anderson as celebrant. Burial will be in Mt Calvary Cem. Friends may call 4-8pm Mon, Sep 15 at Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St, where there will be wake svc at 5pm. She b Sep 23 1926, in Cascade, IA, dtr of George & Rose (Bisenius) Hostert. She m Gerald J Clemen Sep 12 1959, at St Marys Catholic Church, Cascade; he preceded her in death Feb 18 2002. She graduated from St Marys High School, Cascade, & attended Briar Cliff College, Sioux City, IA. Sue joined Carmelite Convent, St Louis, leaving aft 6 yrs due to poor health. She then attended Vogue Art School, Chicago, & worked as fashion illustrator in advertising at Younkers, DesMoines, & Creamers, Cedar Rapids, IA. To know Sue is to know she loved her faith, family, & those around her. Her children & art were her passion & she was ever ready to share her great wit & beautiful works of art. Surviving are 2 sons, Charles J (fiance Velma Syers), Tampa, FL; & Daniel G (Kate) Clemen, Crystal Lake, IL; grddtr, Julia Clemen; 2 sis, Ruth Ann (Frank) Volesky, Cedar Rapids; & Constance Bartek, Jackson Hole, WY; & many loving nieces & nephews. She also was preceded in death by parents & bros, Claud, Birt, Karl & Louis Hostert.
