Mary Z. Clemmer

An Elroy, Montgomery County, woman was seriously injured late yesterday afternoon when she was struck by a car while crossing Allentown Road in front of her home.

Trooper Clem Seroski, Norristown State Police, identified the woman as Mrs. Mary Clemmer, 63.

He said Mrs. Clemmer had alighted from a car across the highway from her home and had started across the road when she was struck by a westbound car operated by Mrs. Genevieve Getty, 43, Telford R.D.

Mrs. Clemmer was taken to North Penn Hospital, Lansdale, with a possible skull fracture and a broken right shoulder. Her condition last night was listed as "fair."

Widow of the late Abram B. Clemmer of Harleysville Pike, Telford, R. D., Pa., departed this life on March 18th 1953. Funeral services were on Monday March 23, 1953, at 2:00 at the Franconia Mennonite Church. Interment is in the adjoining cemetery. Friends may call at the home of her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Levi L. Alderfer, Harleysville Pike, Telford, R. D., on Sunday evening after 7:00.
