Returning to Mary, who married Henry Curtis, her first child, Ephraim, was born in Sudbury, Mass., on 31 March 1642. This would place her birth about 1620, much too early to be a daughter of Nicholas and Jane (-----_ (Tainter) Guy. Since Jane in her will called Mary "my daughter," and since Nicholas did not have a daughter Mary by his first wife, we are led to the conclusion that Mary was also born a Tainter and was Joseph's full sister. The official passenger listing for her must also be in error.
