Mary Lovetta Darrah

LYONS - Mary Lovetta Darrah, 80, died June 24, 2004, at her home, Lyons. She was born Oct. 25, 1923, at Augusta, the daughter of William and Ina May Stenson Blandin. A Lyons resident since 1947, she was a homemaker and former Baker for the USD 405 School District, Lyons. She belonged to First Christian Church, Lyons. On Oct. 19, 1947, she married Emmitt Darrah at Lyons. He survives. Other survivors include: a son, Robert Darrah and wife, Martha, Overland Park; a daughter, Carolyn Ring and husband, John, Manhattan; a brother, Delmar Blandin, Augusta; a sister, Lois Hilton, McPherson; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Janet Ann Darrah; and a brother, Raymond Blandin. Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Christian Church, Lyons, with the Rev. Tom Eastman presiding. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Sillin Funeral Home, Lyons. Burial will be in Lyons Municipal Cemetery, Lyons. Memorials may be sent to the Alzheimer's Foundation, in care of the funeral home.
