DAWKINS.-On the 28th inst., at her residence, King street, Warrnambool, Mary relict of the late William Dawkins, aged 86 years. A resident of 54 years. (Privately interred).

On Friday last there "passed out," in the person. of Mrs. William Dawkins sen., one for whom the community will be the poorer. Such must be the case when, for over 54 years the deceased lady has lived in Warrnambool, and her life is without reproach. Nor was hers a negative goodness for she was a woman of exceptional ability, activity and self-reliance, and to the last she was occupied in work for others, the Red Cross Society having a special claim on her sympathy.

Mrs. Dawkins was a native of the South of England, and came to Victoria with her parents over 60 years ago. She was married in Portland, and after several years' residence there came to reside at Warrnambool 54 years ago. Throughout that time, she with her late husband and family were staunch supporters of the Baptist Church. The family was musically gifted, and several served the church as organists and choristers.
Her work has been done well, and now she has joined - The choir invisible...

Mary Dawkins, of Warrnambool, widow, who died on 26th January last, by her will dated 28th September, 1915, left real estate valued at £1300 and £1039 personalty to relatives.
