Father: Benjamin Moss b. 1786 d. Feb 10, 1852 at age 66. He was buried in Salvage, NL. Benjamin lived in Salvage. The Dykes were among the earliest settlers of Salvage with some reports going back to the 1600's. They eventually populated the north side of Eastport Bay, NL. Mary b.1814 d.1884. Mary married Edward Dyke (1810 - 1865). Mary & Edward had 8 children: Benjamin, Richard, Reuben, Sarah, Adelaide, William, John Edward, & Henry Dyke.
