"A bit of history, Chester Co and Union Co, SC are contiguous and pathways for Quaker travel west.
Union was named for "Union Church" a Quaker meeting house.
Few Quakers remained but those that did married into a few old families and became Baptists.
That is the watered down version.
Mary Floyd (Jordan) is a descendant of the Vicks of Virginia - daughter of Mourning Vick Jordan.
I am at a loss for info on Reuben Floyd as he and Mary Jordan may have passed through Northampton County, NC on their way to Chester, but he doesn't seem to be connected to my line of Northampton County, NC Floyds.
The new two volume Vick Family book is scheduled to come out this month and it is supposed to be more extensive family charts from the great genealogist John Beatty." ~ Susanne Floyd
