Mary Frost

Edmund Frost is listed with three wives. Reana was his last and mentioned in his will as his widow. Mary unknown was either his first or second wife. However, if Mary is not his first wife, then he had another as his first child was born in England years before he married Thomasine. His first child with Thomasine was also born in England.

There are some unsourced references to Edmund Frost's first wife being Mary Rice, whose father was Henry Rice and mother was a Frost. The marriage date was 1628. Without something sourced, it is a reference for further research, but not much else. This Mary would have to be born before 1612 and dead before 1634.

• Temple's "Genealogical Register of Framingham" states: "He [Edmund Frost] married (2) about 1642, Mary ___ ; (3) Widow Reana Daniels." The records show that James and Mary were born after this date to Edmund and Thomasine Frost, showing Temple's statement to be in error.
