Mary Emma Pilcher Haskett, 85, Henderson, died at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010, at Redbanks Nursing Home.
She was an active and faithful member of Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Mary served as a court recorder with both the Henderson Circuit and District Courts. She also proudly volunteered with the USO during World War II.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Richard Haskett, who died April 17, 1997; one son, John Quentin Haskett, who died Oct. 4, 1991; her parents, William E. Pilcher Sr. and Inez Azora Rucker Pilcher; one sister, Inez Ward; and two brothers, Bill Pilcher and Gerald Pilcher.
Survivors include four sons, Jeffrey Brenan Haskett and Richard Fields Haskett, both of Henderson, Jay Douglas Haskett of Vero Beach, Fla., and Timothy Pilcher Haskett of Gurnee, Ill.; one sister, Betty Blacklaw of Little Rock, Ark.; three grandchildren, Lia Haskett of Casper, Wyo., and Austin and Aubrey Haskett, both of Gurnee; one great-granddaughter, Rowan Julia Haskett of Casper; nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church. Father Richard Powers will officiate. Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today and until 9 a.m. Wednesday at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home, where prayers will be said at 5 p.m. today.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Holy Name of Jesus Catholic Church.
