Mary Healy Sanders

She and Margaret Dempsey left Ireland in 1916 from liverpool england, spent 9 days on the Philadelphia and landed at Ellis Island on June 16, 1916. This was her second trip to America. She lived with her sister Julia in Boston before marrying Thomas Brennan. He was a mean husband and father. Alchohol abuse was the downfall of many marraiges.

My father was out front of the house when Ernie Sanders walked up the street. My dad asked Ernie to go in the house and help his mother. Ernie ended up marrying May. Ernie was from Indiana and could load a fifty gallon drum filled onto the back of a truck by himself, picking it up in one smooth motion and setting it down. They loved each other the rest of their lives.
