FARMER CITY – Mary Alice Hoffman, 94, of Farmer City passed away at 4:30 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 24, 2011) at the Gibson Annex, Gibson City.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 28, at Calvert-Belangee-Bruce Funeral Home, Farmer City, with the Rev. C. Don Ferrill officiating. Burial will be at Grandview Memorial Gardens, rural Champaign. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Weedman United Methodist Church or a charity of the donor's choice.

Mary was born Dec. 16, 1916, in McLean County near Farmer City, a daughter of Frank A. and Blanche Oyler Price. She married Donald Lee Hoffman Jan. 28, 1935, at Weedman. He passed away Oct. 4, 1981.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry (Susan) Hoffman of Farmer City and James Hoffman of Oakland, Fla.; two daughters, Janet (Clell) Bontrager of Morgan Hill, Calif., and Joan (Bill) Perhay of Port Saint Lucie, Fla.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; three brothers, Robert (LaVena) Price near Onalaska, Wis., Lyle Price of Chenoa and Charlie (Ann) Price of LeRoy; and one sister, Frances Bottles of Gibson City.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three grandchildren, one brother and one sister.

Mary was a member of the Weedman United Methodist Church and charter member of the Busy Needles Club of Farmer City.
