Mary Catherine Holbrook was born on Oct. 1, 1871 in Elliott Co., KY She is one of several children born to Pleasant and Mary Jane Barker Holbrook.
Mary Catherine married Cam H. Holbrook in 1888. They raised their family in Boyd Co., KY.
