Mary Jane Boles

Mrs Mary Jane Iams Boles, 83 widow of Robert Boles, died Friday morning at 10 o'clock, Nov 24, 1939, at the home of her daughter, Mrs W H Sanders, at Eldersville, after an illness of several weeks which followed a fall in which she sustained a leg fracture. Mrs Boles was born July 12, 1856, near Wind Ridge, Greene County, a daughter of the late John and Sarah Wright Iams and had resided in the Eldersville community the last 60 years. On Sept 20, 1879, she was united in marriage with Robert Boles, who died April 11, 1923. Mrs Boles was a member of Eldersville Methodist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs Harry M Richey, of Burgettstown, Mrs Alice Dowden and Mrs W H Sanders, both of Eldersville; 12 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Her only son, Albert E Boles died five years ago. Funeral services will be held from the Sanders home Sunday afternoon at 1:30 o'clock, in charge of the Rev. Charles H Beck, pastor of Eldersville Methodist Church. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery.
