Mary Jarvis (Porter) was born about 1629 / baptized 10/12/1645 in Salem, Essex, Mass to Jonathan Porter b: ABT 1606.
She was married to Stephen Jarvis b: 1625 in England and they had the following children:

Eunice's father was Jonathan Porter, he was of Salem Massachusetts in 1636, a sergeant in 1647, and in (vol. 3, p. 462) Sept. of that yr. had gr. of 200 acres, was selectman 1653 and 4, but late in that year conveyed his estate at Salem to son-in-law James Chichester, on condition that he should provide for his widow Eunice if she outlived him and removed to Huntington, L. I. had died bef. 1660, when Eunice sued for her right in November of that year, and in 1670 estate was divested to the heirs, who were all females. His three daus. married respectively, James Chichester, Edward Harnett, and Stephen Jarvis; and the widow. Eunice re-married Giles Smith of Fairfield CT. Stephen Jarvis married MARY PORTER of Salem, around 1650... Stephen and Mary moved to New York with the rest of the Porter family, around 1658. (Mary's dad was fined and then run out of town by the Puritans after joining the Quakers.) ... Stephen signed a will on 10 Mar 1691/92, which was proved in Brookhaven, New York on the 16th of April in 1694. He died on the 5th of August in 1693."[1]
