Mrs. Mary Josephine "Mayme" Qualls, 75, died Wednesday in Tyler Nursing Home in Murphysboro. She was born Nov. 6, 1896, in Levan Township, in Jackson County, the daughter of Harvey and Charlotte Youngman Weatherford. She was married to Sylvester Qualls. Mrs. Qualls was a member of the Mt. Joy Lutheran Church. Survivors include her husband, a son, Harvey of Rt. 4, Murphysboro; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild; brothers, Elza and Walter Weatherford, both of Murphysboro, Dennis Weatherford of Wolf Lake, Howard Weatherford of Ava, John Weatherford of Columbia, and Norman Weatherford of East St. Louis; and a sister Mrs. Pearl Sickler of Murphysboro. Two sisters preceded her in death.
