About Mary Josephine Noonan
Mary raised geese which were plucked for feather ticks and pillows and the flesh sold in Perth on "Turkey Fair" Day. She also boarded the men who were building the railroad and plaited straw hats for them. She resided on the 4th line and then the 3rd line of Bathurst. She and Denis had a large apple orchard wich bore many varieties of apples. They retired to Perth an dlived on Drummond Street until Denis' death in 1925. She then lived on in Perth, in a smaller home, with her daughter Olive. (as per "A Brief History of Denis Noonan (1775-1833) of Bathurst Military Settlement and his descendants" Pg.70).
