Beneath this marble are entombed the remains of Mary Lockwood (wife of William K. Lockwood) who departed this life on the 5th day of February 1818. Aged 22 years 10 month and 27 days leaving four small Children, all of too tender an age to be conscious of their irreparable loss and mourned by a numerous circle of relatives and friends, to whom the excellence of her character had endeared her.
