Pleasanton in the Methodist Episcopal Church in Little Creek, Delaware. The wedding march was played by May Martindale, daughter of Rev. Thomas E. Martindale.

She died of ovarian cancer in Stetson Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

She is buried with her son Clarence and his wife, Jennie Martindale. She was living with her son, Clarence, and his wife, Jennie, prior to her death. Inscription: MARY E. MARTINDALE 1864 - 1947
