Mary Agnes McCrone Foley used the name Agnes dropping the name Mary. She went to Ireland in 1907 with her father and brother George, the father returned in 1907 leaving Agnes and George in Ireland to take care of an elderly relative, they returned in 1909. Agnes worked at the Storm Hero Umbrella Co. 33rd St. NYC making umbrellas for over 50 years retiring in 1970 at theage of 80. Agnes returning from work during the great blackout of the northeast in the 1960's her train was stuck under the Hudson River, her son John went to the Erie Station and found her walking on the tracks assisting another woman. In the 50 yrs. working she took off sick once, also getting two weeks vacation a year.
