Mary Montague

Mary Lane was the daughter of William Lane.1 She married Thomas Montague, son of Richard Montagu and Agnes (?), before 1512.1 She died in 1524.1 From before 1512, her married name became Montague.1 No known children.

Thomas Montagu’s will dated 1 January 1514/1515 was proven in the Archdeaconry Court of Northampton.[20]

His widow was granted suitable chambers for herself and her maid at the Manor house of Hemington, according to her late husband's will but released her rights to her stepson Edward on 16 September (1516?). "In her will dated april 1524 she described herself as of Polebrook, Northamptonshire and desired to be buried there".[21]
