Mary Packard, daughter of Samuel Packard (1612 - 1684) and Elizabeth Washburn (born 1618), was born in 1636 in Wymondham, Norfolk, England, and died 7 June 1697 in Boston, Suffolk, Massachusetts. Mary Philips is buried at North Weymouth Cemetery, Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts. Around 1656, Mary Packard married Richard Phillips in Weymouth, Norfolk County, Massachusetts.

She married about 1656 probably Weymouth [VR Weymouth 1:208] Richard Phillips; born before 1641 [WeyHis 4:465], died between 27-Oct-1695 (will) and 22-Nov-1695 (inventory) Weymouth [SufProb 13:705-706]; son of Nicholas and Elizabeth (Jenson/Jewson?) Phillips and called "eldest son" in his father's 1671 will [SufProb 7:248].

Richard married 2nd about 1691 Elizabeth (Edson) Kingman, daughter of Samuel and Susanna (Orcutt) Edson and widow of John Kingman [WeyHis 4:465].

Mary must have been the child who came on the Diligent, based on the date of birth of her first child

She died before 27 October 1695; date of Ens. Richard's will.
