Marie Elizabeth Schoessler married her first cousin twice removed Heinrich (Henry) Schoessler in Walter, Saratov, Volga, Russia. She had a twin sister who died young, named Anna Maria Schoessler. Her Brother Heinrich (Henry) Schoessler changed the spelling of the last name to Schessler and lived in Laurel and Park City, MT. He is buried in Park City, Montana. His memorial # is 26846586). An older brother Johann George stayed in Russia to care for their mother.

Her parents were Heinrich Schoessler (1836-1887) and Maria Elisabeth Hill (1837/38 - abt. 1926). She supposedly died in Siberia, Russia. Both Henrich and Maria were born in Walter, Saratov, Volga, Russia.

Funeral Held For Mrs. Bauer Last Tuesday Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Bauer, who died at her home Friday, were held Tuesday at the Philadelphia Congregational church with the Rev. R. W. Reiger officiating. Mrs. Bauer was a member of the Philadelphia Congregational church. She was survived by her husband, Peter, at the home; five daughters, Lydia Montgomery of Laurel, Mont., Mrs. Martha Burkle of Billings, Mont., Mrs. Martha Mitchell of Ney, Mont., (both listed as Martha), Mrs. Mollie Harding and Mrs. Mary Arnst, both of Kennewick; five sons, Solly Schoesler of Laurel, Mont., Jake Schoesler and Herman Schoesler of Billings, Mont., Art Schoesler of North Hollywood, Calif., and Dan Schoesler of Othello. Also surviving were five stepdaughters, Mrs. Susie Thom, Mrs. Ercil Cox of Tacoma, Mrs. Joel Kenny and Cora Howe, both of Seattle, and Mrs. Bill Ramsey of Honolulu and two step-sons, Lavine Bauer of Stockton, Calif., and William Bauer. Burial was in the Ritzville Memorial cemetery with Danekas and Duncan funeral home in charge of arrangements.

(Note: she was also survived by her brother, Henry Schessler Sr., of Laurel - he "dropped" the o in Schoessler when he immigrated)
