About Mary Holdeness Selig

Wife of Wm Selig. Was a dancer in vaudeville with her sister Sophie Pinkham. Lived in Chicago with her husband Wm. Selig where he founded Selig Polyscope Movie Studio. She and her husband moved in high social circles but she always had time to be friends with anyone of any social class. Moved to Los Angeles where her husband had two more studios and the Selig Zoo. She died in 1956 at the Motion Picture Country Hospital in the San Fernando Valley surrounded by many of her long time friends from the movie industry.

Mary's father was Charles Edward Pinkham and mother is Martha A Cobb.
